Fort Belvoir Virginia
Club Roster
The Fort Belvoir Yacht Club (FBYC) is headquartered at the Fort Belvoir marina which sits on the northern bank of Dogue Creek, just inside the grounds of Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Dogue creek, located on the northern edge of Fort Belvoir drains directly into the Potomac River south of Mount Vernon.
The Club is an official sanctioned activity of the U.S. Army Morale Welfare and Recreation Center. The Bridge, or elected club leadership and the club meet on a monthly basis (except in July). In addition to regular meetings, the Club plans and organizes a number of events from late spring to late fall. Events include picnics, marina clean-ups, over night trips on the Potomac, and raft-ups.
The FBYC is also a member of the Potomac River Yacht Club Association (PRYCA), an association of 25 or so yacht clubs up and down the Potomac River. PRYCA too organizes a variety of yachting activities both on the river and during the "off-season". The FBYC is an active participant in these activities, and as a member you are welcome to attend.
Our primary goal is to have fun. The Yacht Club is a great way to meet new people, share and learn about boating, and get out and about in your boat to the better hide aways up and down the Potomac River. Membership requirements are specified in our Constitution. Click here to join.

It's real easy. Please fill out a member information sheet and send it to either the Commodore, or the Treasurer. Dues are $15 a year, so we ask that you include a check along with the information sheet when you send it in.
Don't want to part with $15 without first meeting us? We don't blame you. Drop by one of our monthly meetings, talk some business, meet the regulars, and have some dessert and coffee. (Bring your checkbook, just in case!)
