First stop and first choice for all your recreation needs. The Community Center is the information center for Fort Belvoir recreation resources. Pro Tools 101 Training
Cut your own demo! Produce your own podcast! Record and Edit your Music at Home! Pro Tools by Avid has become the world standard in recording and editing audio on the computer. Attend these workshops 3 days a week for 1.5 hour sessions and learn the introductory skills to use this software program in your recording and editing projects. $150 per week (Mon, Tues & Thurs 4:30-6pm). Guitars at the Community Center
The Guitar Room has increased its inventory by 7 new guitars to compliment the existing instruments. The new equipment includes 4 electric-beginner guitars, two acoustics-beginner guitars and one acoustic-intermediate instrument. Guitar lessons are offered year round for beginners through expert level. Cost is $85 per month and appointments can be made for: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning at 4 pm. Piano Lessons at the Community Center
Fort Belvoir Community Center offers beginner and intermediate level piano lessons for both adults and children. Classes cost $85.00 per month and appointments are offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays all year round. To set up an instruction appointment, please call the Piano Instructor at (703) 799-8741. Come check out our new Eagle Game Room! It features two Xbox 360’s, two PS3’s, and one Wii. Check out games for free with your ID Card during open hours at the Community Center front counter. Eligible participants include all Active Duty Soldiers, Dependents, DoD Civilians and affiliated ID cardholders. 16 and below must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

MWR Card
MWR cards are issued at the Community Center to eligible patrons who do not have a CAC
(DoD's Common Access Card). Contractors who work on post and then family members
of DOD Civilians tend to fall into this category. All other patrons can use
their CAC or family member ids at DFMWR facilities. As contractors are often
times not provided a CAC and Family Members of DOD Civilians do not have the
ability to get a CAC either, DFMWR has made these MWR cards available.
How to obtain an MWR Card
Camping Sites
Camping is no longer available at Fort Belvoir. The installation is no longer resourced to provide or maintain safe and appropriate sites for camping. As funds may become available in the future to establish and maintain appropriate areas for camping, the installation may resume renting such space to authorized users. Until then, we will refer campers to other local, off-post campgrounds as well as other military installations with campgrounds in Northern Virginia.

International Amateur Billiard Leagues
We Want You! The Association for P.O.O.L. now offers the US armed forces the ability to compete in international amateur billiard leagues. Come out and show your colors for TAP’s new military division! All active duty, retirees and DoD civilians can join the TAP League. The leagues will be played on the pool tables at the Community Center. The minimum number of teams will be six to start & the handicapping of players is done through League Play.
